Years of modern innovation, technology, and a little ingenuity from our design team have allowed ECD to continue turning out some amazingly beautiful and powerful custom-built Land Rover Defenders. When speed counts, ECD has managed to produce some of the fastest Defenders in the world featuring the Chevrolet LS3 engine. While every vehicle we customize is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, we have a special love for the Land Rover Defenders. Here, we take a moment to showcase our top-three fastest LS3-built Defenders to date.

Project Camper

Sitting nicely among ECDs top three Defender builds, Project Camper is one of ECD’s fastest Defenders to date and one of their most elegant builds thus far. The exterior is an eye-catching Rosella Red that stands out in any crowd, proving just how beautiful these vehicles can be. Project Camper’s owner chose to ditch the heavy roll cage, giving this Defender a stealthier appearance as opposed to the brute stance of an original D110. The loss of dead weight contributed to a much better power-to-weight ratio, giving this Defender a quick, responsive acceleration that pins you to the back of your seat.

As far as speed, Project Camper has it. With its LS3 Chevy Corvette engine cranking out 565 -horsepower, mated to a 6-speed, this D110 can conquer the 0-60 mph in around 6 seconds, a whopping 8 seconds faster than the original diesel-powered Defenders.

Project Boss

A total beast like no other. The Matte Gray Custom Kahn wide body kit gives this Defender a muscular stance further enhanced by its full roll cage and Smittybilt roof rack. Black checkered KBX wing tops, a black ARB winch bumper, and 20-inch Mondial retro wheels give this Defender a look as original as those who designed it. Project Boss is an intimidating predator that strikes fear in the hearts of lesser-built SUVs.

Built off the Defender D110 Platform, Project Boss was built for extreme off-road use while adding plenty of interior comforts and luxury features. Still, Project Boss manages to make our list of the fastest. The Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine and custom six-speed automatic transmission churn out impressive horsepower giving Project Boss a 0-60 MPH time of around 6 seconds.

Project Savage

As ECD began designing their 150th custom-built vehicle, they chose to make a bold statement to celebrate the milestone. Known as Project Savage, this Defender D110 proved to be the company’s most powerful and innovative custom builds to date.

Project Savage was hand-built from the ground up to the client’s exact specifications. The end result was a Defender D110 with seriously aggressive looks and modern highlights. Finished in “Super White” full gloss paint with an eggshell black hard top and trim, resting on a set of ECD custom 20-inch six-spoked wheels, Savage has an attitude well deserving of its name.

The Savage incorporates features never before available on any ECD build, including a wireless Warn Industries winch system allowing the winch system to be controlled via remote within a 50-foot radius. While all ECD Vehicles are four-wheel drive, Savage has been upgraded with front and rear limited slip differentials, a two-inch lift kit, and a premium hydro-boost brake system.

Power Is what really makes Project Savage stand out even in a crowd as exclusive as other ECD. Defenders. We took the Chevrolet LS3 6.2-liter Stroker V8 and gave it a few performance upgrades and a custom ECU tune boosting the output to nearly 600 horsepower with a 0-60 time of 5.50 seconds, making Project Savage is the most powerful ECD Defender to date.
