Brembo is a world leader in design and innovation for performance braking solutions. Until now, there has not been a Defender-specific braking kit available from Brembo. We teamed with Race Technologies, an official supplier of Brembo braking systems, to provide to them the parts and data necessary for the design and production of an all-new high-performance braking kit specifically for custom Defenders from E.C.D. The exclusive new GT Performance kit is a two-piece front and rear system available in a slotted design using calipers based on Brembo’s M4/M6 system. The first newly developed set of Brembo GT Performance brakes was installed on a custom Defender 1110, Project Yellow Stone

The Brembo system that has been developed uses six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear. In comparison, the stock D110 calipers were four-piston calipers in the front and tiny two-piston calipers in the rear. As we upgrade our custom Defender axle internals, transfer cases, transmissions, and engines to nearly 600-horsepower, it’s only appropriate that the braking system is upgraded to match as well.

The Brembo system combined with the large slotted rotors and calipers allows us to take our braking system to the next level. The Brembo system is available with calipers in a variety of colors in addition to the traditional Brembo red, such as black and white. Our first custom Defender with the white calipers is currently making its way through production.
