ECD Auto Design is delighted to provide you with more information on our exciting trucks in our blog series of Frequently Asked Questions. In part two, we’ve gotten past the basics of obtaining your base vehicle and making your customization selections. Now we’ll discuss the build process, progress updates, making changes to your truck, the shipping process and more.
- How long does the build process take?
Because every vehicle is a custom build, it’s impossible to give an exact timeframe that applies to all vehicles. But the majority of vehicles take 1 to 6 months. When you make your custom selections, you’ll be given an approximate delivery date.

- Is there a way for me to monitor the progress of my custom build?
We send you progress photos as your vehicle goes through the different stages of customization. These photos are part of the excitement of a custom build. They let you see the entire process start to finish and the meticulous attention we give to every detail.Â

- What happens if I change my mind on certain features?
You can request modifications after you’ve made your initial selections and the build process has begun. Just reach out to our Concierge and we’ll do our best to meet your needs. Please note that if parts or services have already been applied to your vehicle, additional costs may occur.
- How will my questions and concerns be addressed?
You can always contact our Concierge service. One of our Concierge professionals will get back to you within two hours. We’ll give you access to our portal so that you can submit your questions and conveniently receive responses in that platform.
- When my vehicle is complete, do I pick it up from your shop?
You are welcome to pick it up. Or, if you prefer, we’ll deliver it to you, wherever you are. As soon as your custom build has passed our rigorous quality checks, it can be shipped to your desired location so the fun of driving it can begin. Elliot, our Project Manager and Second Founder, will personally deliver your custom build to you, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with useful tips for its care.
- Will I be required to wire money overseas?
No, you’ll never have to wire money overseas. ECD Auto Design is based in sunny Florida. We bank with Wells Fargo and offer a variety of payment options.
- How do I service my custom build?
Although our vehicles are extremely rugged and go through an intense multi-step quality assurance process, you should plan for minor servicing as part of your regular maintenance. If the services you need fall outside of regular maintenance, refer to our warranty in addition to our service and maintenance policy.
