KISSIMMEE, Fla. (May 4, 2021) – Today E.C.D. Automotive Design (E.C.D.), the company best known for its custom and restored Range Rovers and Defenders, announces the first ever completion of three consecutive Defender 90s (D90s). The contrasting features of each D90 highlight the personal customizations and in-depth design process E.C.D.’s clientele work through as they build their one-of-one vehicle.

These purpose-built, beach ready D90s all feature a variety of engines, transmissions, wheels, seat layouts, modern technology enhancements and more. The iconic D90s are best known for their high performance, agility and off-road capabilities. Project Captiva Drive, Project Fish and Project Crossfire, are a true testament to the unmatched, custom build process and E.C.D.’s desire for perfection.

Project Captiva Drive is a showy soft top D90, complete with a 6.2L V8 LS3 engine, 6-speed automatic transmission and coated in a glossy Grassmere Green. Whether strolling along the shoreline or hitting the streets in the city, the vibrant style catches every eye it passes. The D90 sits on 16-inch WOLF Steel wheels and BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires, taking it effortlessly from sand to pavement. The interior seating is hand-wrapped in Cadence Swan leather and finishes out this perfect summer SUV.

Project Fish boasts a completely different style, the Coniston Green Eggshell paint compliments the warm, Distressed Nutmeg leather interior while staying true to the bold and tough nature of the Defender. Under the hood, Project Fish holds a 3.9 Performance V8 engine, 5-Speed Manual Transmission and E.C.D.’s own Air Ride suspension. The modern amenities include JL Audio speakers and subwoofers, a wireless charging pad on the center console and back-up camera.

The third D90 in the line-up is Project Crossfire. Loaded with a Hertz Mille Premium Sound System, JBL Marine Grade Speakers on the roll cage and an Alpine Halo 9 Radio, you will hear this D90 from miles away. Project Crossfire packs even more of punch with its LT4 650 horsepower engine and 8-Speed Automatic Transmission. The gleaming full gloss paint, Land Rover’s Mariana Black, shines dark blue in direct sunlight and transitions to black out of the light. The 20-inch Kahn Mondial Retro wheels and BFGoodrich A/T tires carry the soft-top D90, while the Corbeau Trailcat front seats and two benches in the load area carry the passengers to their next adventure.
