Being the premium builder of custom Land Rover Defenders, E.C.D. see its share of both modern and classically designed custom Land Rover Defenders come down our line. The classic Defender look has a traditional Land Rover color, beloved steel wheels, and the typical accessories. Here are some of our favorite Classic Defenders to come down the line.
Being a rare and original NAS D110, Project Alpine Yeti is a beautifully classic build that maintained all of its original exterior features. Painted in the traditional color of Alpine White in gloss, the build has its original steel wheels, snorkel, brush guard, roll cage, and roof rack with basket all painted in a more modern gloss black. This build is a favorite amongst classic Defender enthusiasts since it has retained most of its classic features inside and out. Inside it has a classic TD5 dashboard, internal roll cage, and seats that have been fully retrimmed.

Another build that is popular among enthusiasts for its classic Defender look is Project Chill, a fully rebuilt D110 dressed in Coniston Green with a classic white roof and steel wheels. The build’s roof rack with basket, front brush guard, and spot lamps also give it a more classic feel. Inside, Project Chill’s rear seating is in the classic Defender style of bench seating.

This D110 is gorgeous and takes on the classic Safari Defender look, painted in the Land Rover heritage color of Keswick Green with a heritage style grille to match. It’s matching white steel wheels and roof add to the look, and the finishing touch is its traditional Rover powered V8 engine under the hood. The build’s roof rack and simply styled grey interior continue its classic Defender look.

Project Barbour is fashioned with Barbour styling and branding throughout. The Coniston green build has matching steel wheels, bench-style reach seating, and the classic Defender TD5 style dashboard.

This zippy little convertible D90 is another build meant to match a traditional and classic Land Rover, the Huey Defender. Finished in a Grasmere Green metallic paint, Final Edition “Hue 166” genuine Land Rover seats, and white steel wheels, this build takes on the true heritage of the Classic Defender look. Inside, its traditional TD5 style dashboard and manual transmission are enough to make any Defender enthusiast drool.
As the awareness for these vehicles becomes more widespread, we see a widespread attraction to designing builds that stand out from the typical modern luxury SUV. Ready to design your custom one-of-a-kind build? Shoot us an email at [email protected].
