Throughout the year, E.C.D. has made the most significant strides in its innovations. We introduced our first build with a nearly full panoramic roof, giving off amazing views inside and out. We introduced our latest partnership with U.K. based brand Electric Classic Cars to bring Tesla Direct Drivetrains to our range of engine options. At the end of the year, we took our innovations a step further by investing $20k into hydro-dipping.

As a premium rebuilder, we want to provide quality customizations and options for every one of our custom Defender builds. That typically means we like to have control over every aspect of the building process, so of course, the next rational step for us was to bring another option for customization in-house. We set out to take the proper steps to perform hydro-dipping in-house, and a few months later, our techs Mike and Gio became certified in hydro-dipping.

Our new investment into hydro-dipping, of course, includes a brand new booth at the shop to ensure every piece of hardware can be easily finished in the client’s choice of hydro-dipping. Hydro-dipping has become a popular form of finish to add a custom touch to vehicles, home decor, apparel, and more. From a wood look to a select color tie-dye, hydro-dipping’s ability to quickly add a one-of-a-kind custom finish makes it art in itself, so it is the perfect modern touch for our fully rebuilt custom Defenders.
