ECD Auto Design is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Choosing the best ECD build to emphasize your style is challenging—or maybe it isn’t. Perhaps you already know beyond a doubt that you have always wanted a custom Defender, Range Rover Classic, or the dazzling Jaguar E-type. If you already know which model you want, then it’s just a matter of scheduling your consultation. For those who haven’t decided, we are here to help you make an informed decision.
ECD takes the same pride and dedication in all of its builds, whether it’s a Defender, Range Rover, or Jaguar E-type. Attention to detail and unwavering commitment to restoring these classic British autos is what has driven us to be the best in classic vehicle restorations.
While ECD’s claim to fame may be the approach to reviving classic Land Rover off-road vehicles like the Defender and the Range Rover, our heart lies in British engineering. No car shouts vintage British auto quite like the iconic Jaguar E-type. By far, one of the most recognizable and sought-after Jaguars ever built, the E-type restoration can include modifying it with modern touches.
If you want the quality craftsmanship and stellar engineering that ECD offers, but you aren’t the Defender or Range Rover type, consider the iconic Jaguar E-type build from ECD. Perhaps you are looking for a historic restoration, restoring your E-type to its original condition. If this is the case, you can access authentic details, from the V6 or V12 engines to the leather interior and available colors of the time. ECD can give you all that, but why stop there when so much modern technology is available? Choose from modern powertrains like the 450-horsepower GM LT1 V8 engine or the all-electric 450-hp Tesla motor. You can upgrade to contemporary interiors and all the new digital gadgets to make your custom E-type a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Range Rover is the most popular vehicle produced by the British automaker Land Rover. The mid-size 4×4 Sports Utility Vehicle, known as the Range Rover Classic, was produced between 1969 and 1996. These early first-generation models were meant as pure utility vehicles with an emphasis on capability rather than luxury, with full-time four-wheel drive and a wide stance for exceptional off-road performance.
Restoring these legendary vehicles and modifying them with modern luxuries, infotainment systems, and powerful engines is what E.C.D. Automotive Design is known for. The hand-built classic 4x4 can be restored to your exact specifications. You can design your Range Rover Classic with a variety of premium interior and exterior features for unprecedented luxury.
EDC uses the exact restoration process for Range Rover Classic on all their custom builds, breaking the source vehicle down to its bones and then restoring it to like-new condition with all the modern upgrades you specifically asked for. The result is a historic vehicle that’s as individual and one of a kind as the driver.
The Land Rover Defender is a rare gem in the 4x4 UV world. If your custom build needs 4x4 capabilities and powerful performance, and it needs to be as original as you, then an ECD custom classic Defender model is what you are looking for. ECD has built more custom-restored Land Rover Defenders than any other category.
Why the Land Rover Defender? That’s an easy answer. They are beautiful, historic vehicles that deserve to be returned to life. The original Defender models were very spartan vehicles with few amenities. They didn’t even have glass windows. This bare and basic design offers a perfect platform for a custom build, with unlimited possibilities to explore.
The Defender’s history and purpose are why ECD has committed itself to restoring these legendary vehicles. ECD starts the Defender restoration process by stripping the source vehicle like all their restoration projects. It begins the rebuild process by restoring the original frame to like new condition. From there, every fender bolt, mounting bracket, etc., is replaced. Every part and component is replaced or restored, from the frame to the intricate details inside. Returning the Defender to its original condition is step one. From there, the customizing begins. With a plan set in motion, the team starts updating, modifying, and building the custom Defender to the customer’s specifications.
ECD Automotive Design opened its first workshop/showroom in 2013. With just a handful of team members and a few trucks, they worked 18-hour days, stripping the trucks down and restoring them to their client’s specifications.
Today the facility is a massive 30,000 square feet and still growing. Employing more than fifty full-time employees, ECD continues to build the best award-winning custom vehicles in the US.
The company consists of English and American automotive enthusiasts with a fondness for British automotive engineering, all of whom contribute their specific skills and ideas to represent each project best. Working with their clients to ensure that the restoration produces the exact hand-built vehicle the customer dreamed of.
