If you want a very specific type of Land Rover Defender, you go to ECD Automotive Design. If you want a Corvette-powered Defender, ECD has got you. It won’t be cheap, because Defenders never are, but ECD will damn sure build it for you. If you want an electric Defender, it’s much the same story. But what if you want to look like a goon from No Time To Die? You guessed it. ECD. Well, so long as you opt for suitably mean paint coloring. If you don’t that’s okay too, because the vehicle you see here is part of ECD’s new Special Edition offering. Basically, Special Editions are “high-quality, pre-selected specifications developed by ECD’s expert craftsmen that are perfect for daily use.” Usually, when you go to ECD, it’s a much more involved process. You tell them exactly what you want, and then the brand builds it for you. Here, customers can choose from paint color, leather color, and headliner color. ECD says the less involved process lets them do what they do best, focusing on the build and allowing the cars to be not only produced more quickly but “cheaper” too. These cars will run you $249,995 instead of ECD’s usual “if you have to ask” pricing. Still, we’ve driven the brand’s electric effort, and both are certainly worth the cash.
