ECD has been building restomods for over 10 years. The company was founded in 2013 by Tom Humble. Since then, the company has grown immensely from his garage to an over 100,000 square foot facility. ECD has built nearly 700 restomods to date.
ECD Auto Design stands apart by offering fully bespoke, one-of-one builds designed hand-in-hand with each client. Using an advanced 3D configurator, clients can explore virtually unlimited options and see their vision come to life before production begins. Every vehicle is handcrafted over 2,200 hours by ASE master-certified technicians in ECD’s 100,000 sq. ft. Florida facility, ensuring unmatched precision and quality.
We offer a wide range of customization options, including exterior paint colors, interior materials, upholstery, modern technology features, performance upgrades, and more. Our goal is to create a vehicle that perfectly matches your vision and lifestyle.

A restomod is a classic vehicle that has been restored and modified. It retains the charm and aesthetics of the original model but is enhanced with modern technology and performance upgrades for better reliability, comfort, and drivability.
The cost of an ECD restomod can vary significantly based on the level of customization and the specific model. Each vehicle is fully bespoke and crafted to the client’s specifications, so prices typically start in the six-figure range. We can provide a more detailed estimate based on your preferences and customization choices.

Yes, we often restore clients’ existing vehicles. Our pricing includes us sourcing the base vehicle, so in this case, the client would receive an invoice credit. The credit amount is determined by the base vehicle’s condition.
ECD started with the iconic Land Rover Defenders and Series models. Over the years, we have added quite a few vehicles to the ECD lineup, like the Range Rover Classics, Jaguar E Types, Toyota FJ Cruisers, Ford Mustangs, and most recently, the Porsche 911s. Our boutique services also allow us to take on special requests. This means we can restore any classic vehicle.
We have completed over 600 custom Land Rover vehicles.
Not the way ECD builds them. Over the years, we have learned to avoid using multiple brands under our hoods. A majority of our builds consist of all brand-new GM powertrain components, which include the power steering and AC condensers. This means any certified mechanic nearest you can service and maintain our restorations.
The Land Rover engines don’t meet our clients’ standards. Most clients are looking for easy maintenance and reliability. Clients familiar with LR engines know the constant battle of having to reseal the engines to stop the leaking, the hassle of importing parts, and finding the right technician for the job. We prefer to make owning a restomod a pleasant experience.
