Being a premier luxury vehicle builder, we have clients with quite the collection of vehicles parked in their driveway. Their new custom Defender is a one-of-a-kind addition to that collection. More recently, we’ve seen a trend of our clients opting to design their custom Defender to match the unique luxury vehicles that also decorate their collection.
Our Project Soho, a super modern custom Defender 110 with a shocking red interior, was built to match the client’s custom Mclaren vehicle. The build took on several body modifications, including a racer style front bumper and a full Kahn body kit to match the style of the Mclaren. Inside, custom Spinneybeck Carmen Red & Prime Meridian upholstery wraps the interior as a stark contrast to the build’s eggshell Quantum grey exterior color.
Our Project RC, another custom Land Rover Defender 110, was designed to match that client’s bold and beautiful Aston Martin. The build is completely white on the exterior, from the wheels to the roof rack. Inside, the delicate build had white leather seats with navy blue leather accents throughout, making it feel too precious to even sit in without seat covers. The build’s white interior extends to its white leather-wrapped steering wheel to its rear four jump seats, adding a sense of luxury that could only match the Aston Martin.
Last but certainly not least is our most recent build design to match a luxury vehicle, and that build is Project Phantom. Also named to match the vehicle it was designed after, Project Phantom is a custom Defender 110, design to match the client’s Rolls-Royce Phantom. The build has a calm and cool grey exterior, but once the doors open, a new world of luxury is revealed. Its Corbeau Racing seats throughout are wrapped in a Lamborghini orange leather with a custom honeycomb stitch with custom front seat grab handles and a leather-wrapped center console that hides a minifridge for the middle row captain seats. Custom LEDs light up the build inside and out when the doors are opened, and if you look up, hundreds of hand-placed LED lights sparkle in a Starlit headliner, a first for E.C.D. and a custom feature of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Another first for this build is that all of the interior finishes, from the bolts to the vents to the pedals, are all metal; no plastic was a special request for this luxurious build.
Seeing these vehicles side by side reflects on the quality and luxury of our custom Defender builds. Plus, it is simply badass to see two vehicles from different eras matching next to each other in the 21st-century.
