In the last year, we have built our first vehicle with our electric Tesla Range Rover and maintained our spot as industry titans with several LS3 builds coming off the line. With our staple engine choice being the LS3 and the even more powerful, supercharged LS3+, our new clients might be wondering which of the two drivetrain options fits their custom Defender best.

Warranty

Our selection of LS3 and LS3+ engines includes a warranty from GM that covers the engine for 2-years or 50,000-miles. Even better, the vehicle is then serviceable at any local GM dealer across the country. With our sophisticated and thorough install process, practiced to perfection with years of experience, these vehicles are extremely easy to service. We wrote the guide books on them. Seriously, we had our engineer research and work with the techs to build the ultimate playbook for the wiring and installation of each engine.

California Compliance and Emissions

While we can ensure our LS3 builds are California Compliant, our custom Defenders with Electric drive trains are the ultimate in low emissions vehicles. They are not only quiet, but they are also extremely efficient, making them the perfect vehicles if you’re looking for that option. If you prefer your build to come compliant and with a bit of a growl, then the LS3 option is for you.

Convenience

With electric vehicles being the new wave, more and more Tesla charging stations are cropping up across the country and at the most convenient of places. This makes it easy to charge your vehicle while you pop into a Publix or your usual grocery store to shop, exiting with a fully charged car ready to drive. Our electric Defender can drive a range of 220 miles and a 5-hour (10-hour domestic), three-phase charge-time on its 100KWH of power.

Speed

Here is where the comparisons really start to measure up. While the LS3 and LS3+ clock in at 430 and 565 HP, respectively, the Tesla Direct drivetrain pushes out 450 hp. With its quiet efficiency, the Electric Defender builds can top 0-60 in around just 5 seconds, whereas the LS3 builds can top 0-60 in just under 6 seconds, making the electric drivetrain builds faster than most modern vehicles on the road now.
